VuSpex Awarded Fourth Patent in Virtual Inspection Technology -- This Time for AI-Powered Automated Inspections

VuSpex has been awarded U.S. Patent No. 12,536,639 for a computer-implemented system and method for automating building inspections. The patented technology uses a large language model (LLM) running on the server alongside a purpose-built extraction engine and classifier engine to expedite the interpretation of inspection requirements, improve measurement accuracy, and securely store documentation against regulatory standards. The system works in conjunction with a tool library on the field agent's device, enabling a tightly integrated workflow from data capture to final determination — all with less manual effort from inspectors. This is VuSpex's second patent in the field of virtual inspections and reflects the company's continued investment in bringing AI-driven intelligence to the inspection process.

VuSpex Awarded Patent for Detecting Fraudulent GPS Coordinates in Virtual Inspections

VuSpex has been awarded U.S. Patent No. 12,468,800 for a computer-implemented system that detects falsified GPS coordinates submitted during virtual inspection media collection. The patented technology introduces a Fraudulent Gradient of Authenticity (FGA) — a proprietary score derived by analyzing the ratio of unique GPS coordinates to the total number of photos or videos submitted for a given inspection. By identifying suspicious patterns in location data, the system flags submissions where a contractor or field agent may have captured media from a single location rather than the actual inspection site. This patent reinforces VuSpex's commitment to inspection integrity and gives agencies a powerful new layer of protection against fraud in their virtual inspection programs.
